Painting the Back Fence

Well like any painting job it starts off for a reason. As you can see here the Graffiti was one of the reason for painting the fence. The other was to protect the fence, now that the last 4 metres is finished. Tan and I decided to tackle the job one weekend the fence is 20 metres long and 1.8 metres high, so I did the top half and Tan did the bottom. We work pretty well as a team.

You can see the last part of the fence here, those are Ross's lawn mowing bags next to the fence.

Well it turned out to be a good job taking us 8hrs and using 17 Litres of paint. Painting is the most boring job in the world I'm pretty sure of that.

This was only the first coat we did another one because that first one just went straight into the wood.

Bike Ride 19 Oct 08

The ride started at Tezza's place around 8:30 that morning. The trip was going to be around 3 hrs from Bunya just out of Samford over Mt Glorious pass next to Lake Wivenhoe and Summerset Dam. Next we travelled to Kilcoy for a quick bite and headed down through Woodford and Dayboro to Samford where we split off and head home. All the trip took around 3 - 4hrs in the end, I was on my reserve tank into Dayboro, lucky this part was mostly down hill.

Leaving Tezza's place 8:30, from left Terry, Peter, Sarah, James and Chris.

The bikes were looking good, both Peter and I have Honda 750 Shadows and Terry has a Yamaha 1300 V-Star. Thats mine on the left.

Stop at Kilcoy, nice little country town.

The view just out of Woodford, you can just make the Glasshouse mountains out in the background. The ride was great.

Story Bridge Walk

Well last Sunday we travelled to Brisbane for the Story Bridge walk. This was my birthday present from Tan.
We started off catching the bus from The Gap and looking around Brissy, then we caught the ferry from the wharf and headed to the climb area.

Wharf where we caught the ferry across the Bisbane river, no thats not the ferry but the bridge is in the back ground.

We climb from the right hand side, up the slope then back down then up to the other high side.

Tan and myself gettin ready, those suits are just so nice!

No one could take there cameras on the walk, so we had the guide take a picture for us. Thats Brissy in the back ground. This was taken from the left side high point.

The day was great finished off with dinner, after climding 1300 steps the tummy was rumbling.
