GPA of 5.5 is pretty good to, I don't usually gloat but hay only once.. Maybe a Masters down the track, just need to think of my theses. Environmental stuff is always a good area. (dam greens)

Storm 4:30 pm on 16th Nov 2008 The Gap, Qld
At the time we just thought it was a usual Brissy storm, come and go and just leave alot of water behind. (NOT)

It was at 4:30pm on the 16th Nov when it became really dark and a storm hit like nothing else that either of us had witnessed before. We had been in a small cyclon in Darwin which was nothing compared to this. This storm was pretty intence and only lasted for about 5-10 min. During the time hail was hitting the South side of the house and we couldn't even hear each other talking. We both closed everthing that would let any air in and headed for the middle bedroom, also the safest from any trees that could fall. We started to get an idea that this was no normal storm when we couldn't see anything but a white sheet of hail and rain out the window. The houses over the road couldn't be seen, infact we couldn't see anything. The dog was barking at the pounding of the rain and hail on the windows. Tan and I didn't no what to do. Before we knew it the storm or what ever it was passed heading towards Ferny Grove and Samford at a rate of knots not known. After it passed and this is like 2 minutes later we could go outside, well the pictures below should give you some idea of the damage it did in the short time. I believe that we were very lucky mostly protected from the shops on our South side, this can be seen from the amount of damage our neighbors copped they had 5 trees fall none on their house but into their neighbors house and pool.

Just as the storm was finishing our backyard with a sign from the shops seen here behind the right post.

Boot the Smokes
Week Three
I do know whether its because all the study is over but this week proved to be the hardest of them all. I still haven't had a smoke but hav being thinking about it more even with the storm and stuff. The Nicorette is doing the job still, taking aroung 2-3 a day. Another good thing about quiting is the money saved on darbes too.
Week Two
Still haven't had a smoke even with the pressure of Uni exams. The gum is working well still and only having on average 3 a day which isn't many at all. The big test will be this Friday 14th when I have a beer after finishing the last exam. Some of my Uni mates smoke but I will have to be strong a say no. The eating has increased but I'm tring to eat fruit and not chips Tan keeps buying chips so its a bit hard. CYA at week 3.
Week One
Well I've given up the Fags, Smokes, Lung Busters, Darbes or what ever you chose to call them. Hopefully it goes better than last time. I ended up in hospital for three days and they said I had Asmatha. I'm not even missing the smokes and its being one week. I went out and got some Nicorette gum and this stuff works a treat. Will keep you posted on the weeks as they tick down...

Painting the Back Fence
Well like any painting job it starts off for a reason. As you can see here the Graffiti was one of the reason for painting the fence. The other was to protect the fence, now that the last 4 metres is finished. Tan and I decided to tackle the job one weekend the fence is 20 metres long and 1.8 metres high, so I did the top half and Tan did the bottom. We work pretty well as a team.

Well it turned out to be a good job taking us 8hrs and using 17 Litres of paint. Painting is the most boring job in the world I'm pretty sure of that.

Bike Ride 19 Oct 08
The ride started at Tezza's place around 8:30 that morning. The trip was going to be around 3 hrs from Bunya just out of Samford over Mt Glorious pass next to Lake Wivenhoe and Summerset Dam. Next we travelled to Kilcoy for a quick bite and headed down through Woodford and Dayboro to Samford where we split off and head home. All the trip took around 3 - 4hrs in the end, I was on my reserve tank into Dayboro, lucky this part was mostly down hill.

Leaving Tezza's place 8:30, from left Terry, Peter, Sarah, James and Chris.

The bikes were looking good, both Peter and I have Honda 750 Shadows and Terry has a Yamaha 1300 V-Star. Thats mine on the left.

Stop at Kilcoy, nice little country town.

The view just out of Woodford, you can just make the Glasshouse mountains out in the background. The ride was great.

Story Bridge Walk
Well last Sunday we travelled to Brisbane for the Story Bridge walk. This was my birthday present from Tan.
We started off catching the bus from The Gap and looking around Brissy, then we caught the ferry from the wharf and headed to the climb area.

Wharf where we caught the ferry across the Bisbane river, no thats not the ferry but the bridge is in the back ground.

We climb from the right hand side, up the slope then back down then up to the other high side.

Tan and myself gettin ready, those suits are just so nice!

No one could take there cameras on the walk, so we had the guide take a picture for us. Thats Brissy in the back ground. This was taken from the left side high point.

The day was great finished off with dinner, after climding 1300 steps the tummy was rumbling.
